Holiday Ham Sangria Glaze

Nothing says that holidays have arrived quite like a holiday ham. Personally, I prefer spiral hams because it makes the slicing process much easier. If there is one thing I know for sure though, it’s this–the ham is not complete without some glaze. That is exactly why I am sharing my Sangria glaze recipe with you. Yes, you read that correctly. Sangria. This stuff is finger licking good, but don’t take my word for it. See for yourself.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of sangria
  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup of fresly squeezed orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon of orange zest

Instructions

  1. Pour all of the ingredients into a medium sized saucepan, whisk the ingredients together and bring to a boil. Then, turn down the stove to a medium heat and allow to simmer for about 8-10 minutes. Whisk frequently while the glaze is simmering.
  2. Remove the saucepan from the heat and allow to cool. You may pour the glaze into a mason jar for storage or use immediately on your holiday ham.
